Ruth Bader Ginsburg Mural, Washington, DC

A mixture of emotions

I feel weird saying this today of all days, but I feel good today. It seems I’ve finally fixed my mucked up sleep schedule because I woke up at 7:00 AM today! I actually woke up naturally at 3:30 AM but I couldn’t pry my eyes open nor could I physically get out of bed, so I decided to sleep further to see if I could get my circadian rhythm to fix itself. Lo and behold, I woke up at 7:00 AM! I am very happy about this.

So a couple of things to elaborate on in the above paragraph:

  • The reason why I feel weird saying that I feel good about today is that a legendary feminist died yesterday. Now, I’m not an American, but I’m sure anyone who knows Ruth Bader Ginsburg’s story will admit that she was a powerhouse in terms of changing the world. That is, unless you’re a die-hard Republican. I am sad that we lost a legend like her. From reading online discussions with Americans, it seems like if the States appoint a replacement before their federal election this year, the country will truly be fucked, and will regress even further back to the 1970s-1980s in terms of human rights and human equality.
  • The other thing I wanted to elaborate on was why I couldn’t pry my eyes open. The main reason is that I put on Etude House’s collage eye patch last night, and man, I must have placed them too close to my eyes because it felt like they had glued shut overnight.

Anyhow, it’s a short blog today. I also fixed the WordPress theme error for my fansite the other day, but now I’ve got redo the whole thing, and I don’t have the energy to do that just yet. Maybe next week.

Right now, I’m going to venture back into Final Fantasy XIV. I really should get around to writing a blog about my time in that MMORPG one of these days, especially considering it has taken up so much of my time the past year. One day.
