Seven hundred

Seven hundred. That’s the number of new COVID-19 cases in Ontario today. Can you believe it?! That’s a higher daily number than what we had in the spring. Unbelievable.

Okay, granted, we were doing less testing in the spring than we are now, but still, that is crazy. Here I was, thinking that we’ll go back to normal-ish in the fall, and I’ll be able to pop into the cinema to watch the new Wonder Woman movie in October… Nope. Not happening anymore.

At this rate, the economy really won’t return until the end of 2021. That will be when I’ll be able to find a real job, I reckon. Until then, I guess, I’ll just go hard on part-time jobs because snagging an office job – especially with the increased competition – seems extremely unlikely to me right now.

In other news, while this pandemic has been going on, I’ve been on dating apps a lot lately. It’s kind of nice that conversations now are extending longer, with more time to cultivate that first impression, rather than just hopping into a physical first date.

I also randomly started looking into temporary tattoos today. These travel ones look cute.

Anyhow, I think I’ll pay a visit to my local LCBO tomorrow. If the province is going to go back to Stage 2 soon – and they fucking better, pardon my French – I’m going to need some wine to cope. (Though let’s be honest here, it’s really just an excuse to stock up on wine.)
